In the 2015 financial year, Pharma Logistik Austria GmbH employing 50 persons generated a turnover of EUR 298. This is a 21 percent-increase on 2014. Their mission is securing and improving the supply of high-quality drugs and healthcare products in Austria.
In a press interview Mag. Roland Huemer, CEO Richter Pharma AG und Managing Director Pharma Logistik Austria GmbH, named the establishment of European partnerships as another target, to be able to participate in international tenders. Thus they were following a general trend of the pharmaceutical industry to participate in logistics tenders for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
As a specialist partner in the pharmaceutical market, Pharma Logistik Austria assumes logistics (storage and distribution) on behalf of national and multinational pharmaceutical producers – focussing on cytostatic drugs, addictive drugs, emergency and cold chain products.
The company of Richter Pharma AG is working with its own locations with a storage capacity for 8,000 pallets in Wels and in Groß-Enzersdorf nearby Vienna. Today they are serving 48 pharmaceutical customers.
Richter Pharma AG based in Wels generated turnover of EUR 493 million in the 2015 financial year (up 18 % year-on-year). As per 1 January 2016 the private corporate group had 399 employees. Richter Pharma is one of few Austrian pharmaceutical companies to offer know-how along the entire value added chain (GMP-conform production, wholesale trade, transport logistics).
