In addition to traditional logistics services, the Noerpel group provides its customers also with accurately selected and qualified staff since 2006. The logistics provider launched its personnel leasing service with 40 temporary workers. Currently 400 people are employed at more than 100 customer sites
“Ten years ago, clients from the freight forwarding and logistics business asked regularly for qualified personnel with practical experience in the industry,” remembers Thomas Hehnle CEO Noerpel Logistics & Services GmbH. Meanwhile Noerpel L&S offers qualified commercial and industrial personnel from the forwarding or transport sector to both large and small companies. But also engineers or skilled workers for specialised tasks such as research and development can be found in the Noerpel group’s portfolio.
Industrial, commercial as well as service companies rely on the qualified wworkers. So the leasing of personnel helps the customers, for example, to cope with seasonal peaks.
Meanwhile Noerpel L&S has four more locations: in Ravensburg, Kempten, Villingen-Schwenningen and Teningen. At all of the sites experienced teams are available, who have been working in the staffing service area for many years.
“Our temporary workers are permanently employed by the Noerpel group. They work at our warehouses and production lines, as long as there is no direct follow-up order by a customer,” explains Thomas Hehnle. “This ensures the job security, and at the same time we get to know the colleagues, so we know exactly in which areas we can deploy them on a reliable basis.”
If required, Noerpel trains the contract workers specifically. “We are able to train forklift drivers or pickers within four to six weeks, so they can be deployed directly at the customers,” says Thomas Hehnle. “If no specific training is required, we can provide employees within one to two days.”
