With a new building in Stans, the Dachser Group is setting the course for continued growth in Austria. The “Logistikzentrum Tirol” was inaugurated on 15th of May during a ceremony with around 200 guests.
The “Logistikzentrum Tirol” replaces the previous location in Hall, and offers customers comprehensive transport and warehouse logistics. The facility has 30 gates, and the warehouse and logistics area covers approximately 4,700 m². In addition, almost 1,000 m² of office and administrative space is available. In a further construction phase additional loading points and parking spaces can be built.
“The new logistics center is a milestone that goes beyond the expansion of our strong Austrian network with its nine branches. The site is designed for European system traffic with affiliated contract logistics and should make integrated system logistics for general cargo even more efficient and sustainable,” said Dachser COO Michael Schilling in his opening speech.
At the Stans site, Dachser offers its customers everything from a single source: Warehousing and tailor-made services within the framework of contract logistics with direct connection to the comprehensive European transport network and the air and sea freight services of Dachser Air & Sea Logistics. The company invested around EUR 6.5 million into the new facility.
Günter Hirschbeck, Managing Director Dachser Austria European Logistics emphasised at the opening: “Our modern plant is of great importance especially for western Austria and beyond. At the Stans location, as a family business, we are closely linked to the region and create about 40 jobs. “
