Night Star Express launches 6-days-week

Launching a 6-days-week, the second-biggest overnight express provider expands its offer for customers in Germany with immediate effect.
Initially the national weekend delivery will be offered as a premium service in a selected transport network.
Expanding our service portfolio by adding a sixth day of delivery is an important move in line with the growth strategy of Night Star Express. We want to convince existing and potential customers with our high quality services,“ explains Matthias Hohmann, Managing Director Night Star Express GmbH Logistik. “One additional day of delivery helps us to meet the continuous demand for the shortest possible delivery cycles, mainly demanded by the automotive industry.“
So far the overnight express service on the weekend was used mainly by horse breeders during the breeding season from March to August and by manufacturers of agricultural machines,” adds Joachim Zeuch, Senior Project Manager Night Star Express GmbH Logistik. “In recent months, we were able to convince more and more customers from other sectors of our offer on the weekend.
These shippers have been using the usual overnight express service from Monday to Friday for years in order to supply their recipients in due time for the start of work with all the necessary goods. The sixth day of delivery from Saturday to Sunday, helps the companies now to make plans to provide their recipients at the weekend or until Monday at latest with urgently needed spare parts. Thus failure and downtime can be minimized again.
Since its foundation in 1993, Night Star Express – an alliance of seven medium-sized trucking companies – operates nationwide in the field of night-delivery services. The system-based overnight express brings the customers’ shipments until late afternoon and delivers them the following night before eight a.m. within Germany without receipt.
