New added connections increase the rail offer from and to Burghausen to12 weekly departures

New rail link from Burghausen to Cologne and Trieste

Two new routes are being added to the rail offer from and to
Burghausen: Until now threre were eight weekly departures (Monday to
Saturday) from Burghausen to the German seaports (Hamburg, Bremen,
Bremerhaven) and back.
Since 6 October three weekly connections are available on the Cologne – Niehl-route (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). From there links are available to the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp.
In addition to this new route another rail link to the Northern Adriatic region has been available since 14 October. From now a weekly train is operated (Thursday) from Burghausen via Salzburg to Trieste.
The KombiTerminal Burghausen is an open terminal for combined rail/road transport, and is important for the producing enterprises located in Burghausen, the ChemDelta Bavaria and the neighbouring regions.
