DPD Austria – Austria’s leading private parcel service – has launched a new platform for flexible and individual package management for private customers with myDPD.at. “After a trial period, we can already register over 14,000 registered users for myDPD.at, who appreciate this tool very much, because it offers them the option of complete, individual control and documentation of their packages,” says Managing Director Rainer Schwarz.
On myDPD.at the customer can follow his parcels, redirect them as desired, find the nearest parcel shop and also prepare them for dispatch and pay for parcels online. The package label is then easily available electronically via smartphone. On the platform, all received and sent packets are automatically saved.
Rainer Schwarz: “Of course, the customer can do that not only on a PC at home, but also on his mobile devices on the go. This is particularly important when it comes to the status of a current package, because here the user has the opportunity to track the package via live tracking and if necessary, for example redirect it to a preferred neighbor, to one of our 1,200 pickup parcel shops or simply to another address. It is also possible to give a parking permit or simply have the package delivered on another day. “
If an e-mail address of the recipient is given, he will receive an announcement that a package is on the way via e-mail and at no extra cost . “We will continue to develop this tool to meet the needs of our customers for the greatest possible flexibility,” Rainer Schwarz announces.
DPD Austria offers a comprehensive range of services for national and international parcel distribution. The company employs around 1,700 people throughout Austria and has a transport fleet of 1,000 vehicles, which transported around 46.5 million parcels in 2017.
