Austrian Post makes returns processing and parcel delivery even more comfortable and easier for their customers. So with immediate effect, the postman can also collect parcels during the delivery of mail – for free.
This is how the new service works, which offered by the Austrian Post: If the postman delivers a parcel to the recipient’s address, the customer can also return one. Thus in the course of delivery, parcel collection is done as well. What must be considered is that the postman can take only labelled parcels, such as returns to mail-order companies or shipments with home-printed parcel stamps.
The new service of the Post is available for private customers, and with all parcel postmen. For urban areas this means, where mail and parcel delivery are made separately, parcels can only be collected by the parcel postmen.
