New country in the Rail Eurasia System of Hellmann Worldwide

In the last month Hellmann has started operation of a new route in the segment Rail Service from Vietnam to Europe. Dispatch takes place in Hanoi. With an audited and customs certified operative method the containers are dispatched and reach their final destination ex Hanoi to the terminal in Germany in 19 to 20 days.
The railway is gaining importance for the textiles industry regarding the transports from Asia to Europe. Through significantly reduced delivery times, a much more favourable CO2 footprint compared to airfreight and its reliability more and more customers in the textiles industry rely on the carrier rail. Not only FCL, but also LCL shipments are carried out. The service is complemented by cross docking-, HUB-, and warehouse solutions as well as fiscal representations. So far Hellmann has already transported 3.000 TEU in this segment.
Many plants are being relocated to Central China, far away from the locations in the more expensive coastal cities. This explains why rail services are an alternative which is becoming more popular in comparison with airfreight or a sea/air-combination. At the textiles industry convention, Werner Hortig with s.Oliver in Rottendorf confirmed that, according to previous experiences, temperature fluctuations on the rail route from Asia to Europe have had no negative effects on the textiles.
