The Müller Group, headquartered in Wienerr Neudorf in the district of Mödling, starts a new company called “Müller frisch!”, which specializes entirely in innovative logistics services for customers in the food sector. The “newcomer” aimes at producers and wholesalers who, under particularly strict quality and time specifications, deliver fresh daily to branches in the food retail sector in major cities.
The complex logistics and branch support services of “Müller frisch!” were developed and successfully tested together with the global fruit and vegetable company SanLucar, which has also been a customer of the Müller Group in other areas for many years. “Müller frisch!” has now taken over the time-critical supply of selected Billa and Merkur stores in Vienna with fruit freshly cut just before transport, as well as the preparation and presentation of these goods in the stores for sale.

The way in which the products are presented in the stores and the adherence to SanLucar’s strict brand standards are documented in real time using online photo reports and can be reviewed by the customer immediately. This sets new standards in the logistics industry.”
The development of combined freshness logistics and branch support in the urban area brought new challenges for the Müller Group: in addition to the acquisition of 20 smaller and more agile refrigerated vehicles from Petit Forestier, “Müller frisch!” also had to meet very specific delivery and time requirements The fruit cut by SanLucar during the night must be delivered to selected Billa and Merkur stores throughout Vienna by eight o’clock in the morning. After punctual delivery, the specially trained employees of “Müller frisch!” then ensure the professional placement of products in the SanLucar cooling areas of the Billa branches.
Together with Gerhard Stückler, the Müller Group has entrusted an experienced industry expert with the management of “Müller frisch”. With more than 12 years as the resource manager for the Rewe Group, he brings a wealth of experience to the Rewe Group.
