Meyer & Meyer, the fashion logistics specialist has added a 25,000 m² logistics hall for parcels and folded goods at its site in Peine. After a construction period of only eight months the building now offers space for almost half a million parcels. The investment totals about EUR 20 million.
The construction of this hall is our response to our customers’ growth at the site in Peine and to the growing demand for goods handling in the form of parcels,“ says Michael Meyer. Peine was a strategically important location for Meyer & Meyer, and the hall an ideal completion of the existing facility for hanging garments.
Meyer & Meyer will use the new property as a distribution centre for fashion and lifestyle products. The hall is located in the immediate vicinity of two major traffic arteries, between the A2 motorway and the Mittelland channel. It is currently equipped with two stages, together offering 10,000 m².
As a leading specialist for fashion logistics in Europe, Meyer & Meyer offers its customers a service portfolio ranging from raw material and production logistics to storage, preparation, quality control and sales-ready distribution of goods for retail. In addition to fashion logistics, the family-owned company has developed more specific logistics solutions for the automotive, consumer electronics and various particularly sensitive goods. From the company’s headquarters in Osnabrück and a network of subsidiaries and partner companies in Germany and abroad 2,000 employees are managing the logistical activities in Europe, Asia and North Africa.
