Also in 2017, the international transport and logistics provider cargo-partner has proven its performance in transporting oversize, heavy and out-of-gauge freight by air, sea and land. The company has mastered several challenges in the past year, including agricultural machinery and steel pipes by air freight, they inform in a press release.
From July to August, cargo-partner organised the sea freight transport of a vertical milling machine from Taiwan via Hamburg to Olšovec, Czech Republic for a machine tool supplier located in Prague. The cargo, measuring 6.5 m x 4.30 m x 3.8 m, with a weight of 26.5 t, was shipped on a 40’ flat rack from Kaohsiung, Taiwan to Hamburg, Germany. From there, it continued on a low deck truck to Hostivice in the Czech Republic, where cargo-partner arranged customs clearance and delivered the shipment to the final consignee.
From August to September, cargo-partner transported a 75 tonnes shipment consisting of a machine rotor from Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic to Lavos Figueira da Foz in Portugal. The main run was executed on a ferry from Rotterdam to Leixões and the dimensions of the cargo were 19.5 m x 4 m x 2.7 m.
In September 2017, cargo-partner handled the air freight transport of a tractor weighing over 4,000 kg from Delhi, India to Milan, Italy. As the client, a manufacturer of capital goods, urgently required the tractor for testing purposes, cargo-partner organised transport over the weekend, with pick-up in Delhi on Friday and arrival at the airport in Milan on Monday.
This shipment posed special challenges, not only because of the commodity and its dimensions, but also because it was executed during the highest point of peak season for air exports out of India. Thanks to cargo-partner’s long-standing relationships with quality airfreight carriers, the logistics provider was able to book the necessary space and offer a fast and reliable solution.
cargo-partner has more than three decades of experience in transporting oversize, heavy and out-of-gauge freight by air, sea and land. With its network of offices throughout Europe, the Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia and North America, cargo-partner creates flexible solutions for the transport and storage of manufacturing equipment, construction machines, and vehicles, up to the relocation of entire factories.
