Mainfreight strengthens presence in Europe

Mainfreight has opened its new branch in London providing the full range of air and ocean services. With this the company extends its global network to 239 branches in 21 countries. In Europe they are now present in the Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, Romania, Russia, The Netherlands, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

The opening of the first venture into the United Kingdom provides additional trade lanes for Mainfreight to develop, and reduces their exposure to agents.  “We remain focused on continuous improvement in quality and service for our customers, and increased profitability across the European business”, the company announces.

The new Mainfreight facility is located near London Heathrow Terminal 4 and includes a high-spec 750 sq.m. warehouse. A professional and experienced UK airfreight and ocean freight team handles door-door import and export shipments, customs clearance and documentation, consolidation services and  UK / European distribution.

As a global logistics provider, Mainfreight offers managed warehousing and international and domestic freight forwarding. With branches across Australia, China, Europe, New Zealand and the United States the company continues to expand its global footprint.

Mainfreight began its operations in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1978, soon growing into New Zealand’s most extensive freight network.  A shift in focus, in 1984, saw the opening  of the first Mainfreight International branch. In 2011 Mainfreight acquired the business of Wim Bosman Group providing further opportunities to expand Mainfreight’s international global network with branches throughout Europe.
