Starting in the academic year 2020/21, the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences will offer the new course “Terminals and connecting lanes” as well as a two-day “Freight Traffic Excursion” in the Bachelor Course in Railway Technology and Mobility, which will provide students with current knowledge in the area of freight transport and logistics.

Both courses are designed for the 6th semester of the program. Longtime employees of LogServ and CargoServ, who are also Bachelor and Master graduates of FH St. Pölten, will pass on their expertise as lecturers. In addition, the LogServ Group supervises project and diploma theses, which are issued by the FH St. Pölten.

“On the one hand, we can pass on our great specialist knowledge to the students of the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten and, on the other hand, present ourselves as an interesting employer and open up opportunities for starting a career in our company,” says Managing Director Markus Schinko.

Logistik Service GmbH (LogServ) was founded in 2001 as a 100% subsidiary of voestalpine Stahl GmbH. The customers of the full-service provider are primarily at home in metal production and processing, in the building materials and process industry, in mechanical and plant engineering and also in the automotive and supply industry. In the railway sector, operators of works and connecting railways, private railway companies and private freight car rental companies are looked after.
