Logistics Center Graz-Nord / Peggau is growing at a fast pace

The Sager Group is still operating at full throttle, making this visible through its commitment in motor sport

Logistics Center Graz-Nord / Peggau is growing at a fast pace

The ground-breaking ceremony took place in April 2017, and the opening in January 2018 – the 10,000 m² logistics center Graz-Nord / Peggau was constructed within a record time by the Sager Group and handed over to the users – and they continue like that. Since the beginning of this year, two more halls with a total area of 15,000 m² have been built and recently handed over to the operators.

“In logistics, speed is everything, on the one hand, when it comes to providing space, and on the other hand, when it comes to handling transports,” says company owner Philipp Sager. “PS Logistics, the logistics division of the Sager Group, stands for this speed, and in order to make this visible to the outside as well, we have decided to become involved in motor sport.”

After PS Logistics and the Sager Group had supported the Styrian Christopher Zöchling in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany in the 2017 season, the commitment was extended this year. The MRS-Molitor Racing Systems team is the fast partner of the Sager Group. With a BMW M6 GT3, MRS contests the ADAC GT Masters, the league of super sports cars. Behind the wheel: Christopher Zöchling and as a “loan” BMW works driver Jens Klingman.

But not only in the races of the ADAC GT Masters, which are taking place this year in Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria and the Netherlands, MRS proves speed. Also in the Mobil1 Porsche Super Cup as part of the Formula 1, the team starts with six cars, with the Sager Group and PS Logistics on board.

“For us, motor sport is the ideal platform to draw attention to the logistics center Graz-Nord / Peggau, but also to our services. The automotive industry in Styria is booming and we want to support this development by offering customised logistics solutions. At the races for the ADAC GT Masters, the factory teams of the German automobile manufacturers are at the start and we have been able to make one or the other interesting contact”, Philipp Sager outlines the importance of the involvement in motor sport.

The logistics center Graz-Nord / Peggau has its roots in 2014, when the Sager Group set up the Graz Nord parcel distribution center for DHL. Since then a lot has happened, because after DHL, also other companies noticed the ideal location in the north of Graz and made it grow.
