Lagermax Internationale Spedition GmbH, the Salzburg transport and logistics company, and Reifen John GmbH & Co KG, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, enhance their cooperation. Since recently Lagermax supplies and serves Reifen John’s branch network in Austria and Bavaria with the retreaded truck and bus tires from the own Reifen John production. All 33 sites are supplied with more than 20,000 tires annually for utility vehicles.
In addition, the Lagermax company ensures timely and flexible recycling of used tires (casings), thus making a substantial contribution to the raw materials supply of the retreading plant. This ensures fast and reliable processing for customers and the own stores.
Lagermax coordinates and supervises the transport for the delivery of the truck tires to the individual stores throughout the country and adjoining Bavaria. This way Reifen John significantly cuts the delivery time of its tire products that are sold in each store. All branches are supplied by Lagermax within 24 hours after the order was placed. For particularly urgent orders or unforeseeable “tire shortage” due to great demand, they offer an express service.
“With our transport and logistics concept, we were able to convince the managers of Reifen John, to place their order into our hands,” says Herbert Weber, Managing Director of Lagermax Spedition. Especially for tire logistics, seasonal fluctuations in demand require precise planning of the transport processes.
Two criteria were particularly relevant to Reifen John to decide in favour of the cooperation with the Lagermax transport and logistics company: A smooth and timely supply of its national branches, and the extensive route network to neighboring Bavaria.
