With its entry into the seafreight segment, Keimelmayer freight forwarding and transport GmbH is now offering its customers an international logistics perspective: Thanks to its accession to global cooperation and a newly-formed team around sea freight expert Christian Felbermair, the company which is based in Leonding (Upper Austria) is now able to handle international freight by sea.

“We offer the exporting economy both export and import services and handle both container and break bulk freight. Support in customs logistics as well as in international payment transactions, in particular letter of credit, supplement our service“, the company wrote in a press release.

With the entry into the sea freight, the Keimelmayr freight forwarding and transport GmbH develops itself strategically to a complete offerer: “for us this is the next logical step”, thus managing director Robert Fellinger. In addition to the established business units land transport and warehousing logistics, high-quality service in the field of international ocean freight is a conclusive extension of the product portfolio.

In addition, freight forwarding and transport GmbH announces that it is now a member of the IFA International Forwarding Association. This alliance of a total of about 50 owner-managed freight forwarders from all over Europe has existed since 1992 and has set itself the goal of uniting reliable, service-oriented and high-quality freight forwarders of small and medium size in a transnational network.

The IFA membership equips Keimelmayr with a partner network throughout Europe. This helps the freight forwarder to respond even faster and more flexibly in Europe-wide freight traffic and to better serve customers in the field of transnational freight.
