He wanted to do something and had the courage and the willingness to take risks. So on July 28th, 1969, Herbert Jerich sen. founded the Jerich International company, based in Gleisdorf.
Within 50 years, it became a flagship company, which today operates as a system logistics provider with holistic approaches in Austria, Europe and North America. In his speech at the anniversary celebration, Christoph Stark, the mayor of Gleisdorf, honoured the company’s remarkable achievement.
“Family businesses think long term. Our DNA is focused on creating and maintaining values and jobs,” said Herbert Jerich sen. His company always looked beyond their noses. Their vision of the future is born of courage and entrepreneurship.
Jerich International employs 800 people worldwide, more than 200 of them in Styria. The company’s strategy is focused on continuous development and innovation.
With Herbert Jerich jun. and motivated employees, the company is moving into the future. Together with his team the future sole director of Jerich International wants to use the past as a stepping stone for coping with challenges such as political crises, trade conflicts and climate change.
