HSL Logistik GmbH, a medium-sized European rail transport company, founded in Hamburg in 2003 by Haiko Böttcher, a trained locomotive driver. The company organises rail freight transport and shunting services in Germany, Austria and almost all neighbouring countries. Contractors include large industrial companies and other railway companies.
Over the next few months, up to 40 new jobs will be created in the areas of administration, scheduling, rail operations and human resources management in the Austrian branch, which was launched two years ago. The location in Wiener Neudorf will be complemented with Bruck an der Leitha, Lower Austria, in April 2018.
This is where the second location in Austria will be established in a building adjacent to the railway station with 600 m² of office space (including training rooms), says Mario Braatz, the Branch Manager in Austria. The location is favourably positioned for control and processing of rail freight transport from/to Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.
Together with partner companies, HSL Logistik GmbH operates a European network for freight transport by rail in the context of regular and spot traffic. The focus is on cross-border operations for clients from the chemical and automotive industries. Each of the 40 multi-system locomotives in their own stock is driven by their own train drivers.
