HP enhance their cooperation with the LGI Logistics Group

LGI Logistics Group International GmbH has successfully taken over logistics for the Computing business segment of Hewlett-Packard (HP)

LGI enhance their business relations with a major customer. In addition to printer hardware, HP entrusted them now also with computer hardware. 150 employees, recruited for the new Computing segment, are controlling, packing and shipping laptops – within only 30 hours after goods receipt.
Every day an average 35 trucks are passing the additional 7,200 m² warehouse for computer hardware. In the first months several million laptops and tablets left this site. For comparison: A total of 150 trucks are calling at this 65,000 m² site every day.
Once the initial stage of this project is completed, the staff of LGI and HP will continue to optimise the processes based on Lean Management methods, which have proven to be useful during this start-up.
