Hödlmayr International increases efficiency of its car carrier fleet

Wabco Holdings Inc., a leading technology provider of the global utility vehicle industry, announced that Transics International, its subsidiary for fleet management solutions, and Hödlmayr International, a leading specialist for vehicle logistics, have signed an agreement on 26th October. Transics will equip Hödlmayr International’s fleet of more than 610 car carriers with its leading fleet management systems and thus contribute to increase its safety and efficiency.
Transics will upgrade Hödlmayr vehicle transporters with advanced TX-SKY on-board computers, mobile applications for out of cabin activities, and document management solutions. Transics will also install its web-based back office system TX-CONNECT for efficient truck, driver, trailer and cargo management. Transics expects to furnish Hödlmayr International’s entire fleet of auto transport vehicles by the first quarter of 2016. Installation will take place at select customer sites, as well as Transics and WABCO certified service partner locations.
After a period of comprehensive testing and evaluation we chose to equip our entire commercial vehicle fleet with Transics’ suite of advanced fleet management solutions,” said Markus Formann, Head of Corporate Purchasing and Fleet Management, Hödlmayr International.
Transics’ systems integrate easily with our existing software. They allow for maximum flexibility and adaptability to meet Hödlmayr International’s present and future business needs. We are also excited about Transics’ and WABCO’s extensive service network to help maintain the performance of our fleet across Europe.”
Transics’ fleet management solutions will enable Hödlmayr International to monitor its entire fleet of trucks in real time, using valuable information on location, route adherence, vehicle speed and delays to support key operating decisions. In addition, the system captures data on driver behaviors such as braking, speeding, signaling and evasive maneuvers. The Transics’ solution now means that Hödlmayr International has a direct link between trucks, drivers and its home office.
