Harald Rotter (45) was appointed Managing Director of IGS Intermodal Container Logistics (Hamburg). Together with the longstanding Managing Director Bernd Trepte he will be in charge of the further development and expansion of the intermodal transport services, combined transport terminals and depots of the IGS group.

Harald Rotter has 16 years of experience with combined road and rail transport. From 2000 to 2009, he had been working with Kombiverkehr (Frankfurt am Main), in charge of development of intermodal terminals. As Managing Director of Rotterdam-based Optimodal Nederland, a company of Kombiverkehr, he had been managing the set up of transport services to the western ports from 2006 to 2008. In 2009 he moved to HHLA Intermodal GmbH, holding the position of the Managing Director. From 2012 to 2015 he managed the market development in his position as Managing Director of the German company Metrans Rail (Deutschland) GmbH.

IGS Intermodal Container Logistics includes several autonomously operating subsidiaries. The specialisation of the respective container services allowed to establish a broadly based and successful portfolio for the segments of container trucking, intermodal container transport, as well as container depot and terminal services. The group has locations in Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Nuremberg, Regensburg, Munich and Aschaffenburg.
