Haeger & Schmidt boosts its presence in Southern Germany

Since 1 October 2017, Haeger & Schmidt Logistics GmbH has been represented by a sales office in southern Germany, which is being set up by Richard Armbruster (55) in central Balingen. The trained forwarding agent has more than 35 years of industry experience in the transport sector, trade and industry. He previously worked as a sales manager South for UTC Overseas GmbH for nine years and is a well-known specialist both in project logistics as well as in multimodal transport.

“We want to accelerate our further development with Richard Armbruster and become even more present by the new sales base in the traditionally innovative region of Southern Germany and other countries,” explains Carsten Berger, General Manager responsible for Sales & Business Development. “This step is the logical consequence of the successful experience with founding the Nord sales office over four years ago.”

CEO Heiko Brückner adds: “In logistics, individuality and personality are still very important. That is why we want to contact our customers not only from our head office in Duisburg by telephone and mail, but also to advise and support them locally and even more professionally.”

Haeger & Schmidt Logistics has more than 200 employees across Europe, generating more than EUR 150 million in sales per year. Their core business areas are inland navigation, projects, intermodal, port logistics, short sea, shipping & forwarding.
