The Italian Grimaldi Group, via its associated company Automar, hasacquired a 50-percent share in the Calabrian automobile terminal GioiaTauro. Previously, BLG Logistics operated the terminal alone.
For Michael Blach, Head of the Automobile Division of BLG Logistics Group the share sale is a sign of confidence: „We’re certain of significant growth in automobile transshipment. The Mediterranean region is set to gain in importance as a hub. With the automobile shipping line Grimaldi at our side, we’ll substantially boost activity at the terminal in Gioia Tauro.“
