“GO toll 2.0”: Large order placed with T-Systems Austria

Placing the order for the construction of the central system on 1 August, Asfinag has made a significant move towards implementing the next generation of the GO toll system .

T-Systems Austria was awarded the contract for supply and set up of the central system for the new GO toll that will be in use from the beginning of 2018. Together with the renewed toll technology this will provide the basis for a new GO toll system in the future.

Asfinag explained the change as follows: “At the end of 2017 the contracts for the truck and bus toll with the technology supplier KapschTrafficCom and the central system supplier Raiffeisen Informatik will expire, thus by the start of 2018 a new toll system must be ready for use.” This would ensure that the hitherto investments and system improvements can be further used to their full extent. Furthermore, there will be space for new technical solutions and improvements, such as interoperability with other toll systems on a European level.
