Girteka Logistics became an external investor at Thermo-Transit

Shareholders of the Danish transport company group Thermo-Transit have signed an investment agreement with one of the leading European transport company groups operating under the brand name of Girteka Logistics. The agreement includes purchase of 40 percent of the share-capital of Thermo-Transit.
Thermo-Transit Denmark A/S is strong player in the European thermo regulated transport market and has more than 400 Trucks and trailers operating all over Europe. Thermo-Transit Denmark A/S was established in 1987 and has had a significant growth during its almost 30 years in operation.

Our ambition is to continue being a leading brand, to provide the highest quality standards and to introduce new value adding transport services. Thermo-Transit Denmark A/S will continue in its own brand and way of operating. The investment will have no influence on the daily management of the company, which has approximately 500 employees and had a turnover of DKK 687 million in 2014.
Thermo-Transit, headquartered in Denmark and with departments in all of Scandinavia, Poland and Germany, is a specialist in transporting fresh fish from Norway down south to the rest of Europe. It’s a highly dynamic business where the weather often causes extreme working conditions, and where a logistics company must be able to adapt to both seasonal and market fluctuations. Similarly, fresh fruits and vegetables are transported from southern Europe to the Scandinavian markets. The company was established in 1987 and has had a significant growth during its almost 30 years in operation.
Girteka Logistics is an international transport and logistics group headquartered in Lithuania. The group had a turnover of EUR 450 million in 2014 and has approximately 7,100 employees.
