Gerhard Haas (51) was appointed as the new Branch Manager at Gebrüder Weiss in Graz with effect from June 1, 2017. The Graz location currently employs 150 members of staff.
“My predecessor Klaus Bannwarth has done an excellent job in Graz. I am confident that with the support and experience of my new colleagues, I will be able to continue the work that has been started with great success. Particular focus will be placed on expanding our logistics activities and the home delivery services for end customers,” explains Gerhard Haas.
In recent years, the branch has been particularly successful in logistics solutions and has been able to gain many well-known key accounts in the automotive, electronics and textiles industries, as well as in the mail order business.
Originally from Styria, Haas has exceptional knowledge of the logistics sector. He began his professional career in 1991 at a logistics company in Graz, where he was responsible for a range of duties in the national and international land transport segment and served as Sales Manager for eight years. In 2011, he took over the management there. Before joining Gebrüder Weiss he served as Operations Manager for Austria at another logistics company (DHL Freight).
