Gefco Austria CEO Peter Vanek will also head Gefco Switzerland

Peter Vanek (48), Managing Director of the transport and logistics company Gefco Austria, will take over the management of Gefco Switzerland in the second quarter of 2018. This step goes hand in hand with the strategy of the Gefco Group to make efficient use of synergies and to best support business development through good partnerships.

“The joint management of Gefco Austria and Switzerland means an even closer relationship between the two countries within the Gefco Group. There are many similarities between the two markets – the partnership can be enhanced. That means even more efficient and individualized solutions for our customers, ” explains Peter Vanek.

Gefco employs around 125 people in eight branches in Switzerland. The logistics service provider has been represented in Austria since 2004 and currently employs 60 people in four branches.

Peter Vanek is an experienced industry expert and since July 2014 managing director of Gefco Austria. Born in Vienna, he has extensive experience in the logistics sector thanks to his many years of professional experience. Prior to joining Gefco, he worked as an authorized officer in several executive functions at Rail Cargo Austria AG.
