The Gebrüder Weiss Management has appointed a new Country Director for Serbia: Roland Raith (39) has been responsible for the Balkan country since 1st November 2019. Gebrüder Weiss Montenegro’s country management will also report to him.

Roland Raith has been working for the international logistics company for more than 20 years and held various management positions during this time, including country manager for Gebrüder Weiss in Slovenia.

Since entering the market in 2004, Gebrüder Weiss has been growing continuously in Serbia. The company has invested more than EUR 16 million in logistics terminals, vehicles, office buildings, parking spaces and real estate. Today, Gebrüder Weiss employs around 250 staff at three locations in the country and offers its customers a comprehensive range of logistics services on a logistics area of 20,000 m².

In 2018, the logistics company in Serbia achieved a turnover of EUR 28 million and handled 340,000 shipments, around 80,000 of which are home deliveries, which Gebrüder Weiss delivers nationwide to end consumers.

The strategic goal of Gebrüder Weiss is to further strengthen the company’s position in Serbia and in Central and South Eastern Europe. The logistics provider has more than 90 locations in this region.
