Lothar Thoma has a wide range of responsibilities in a global company: Gebrüder Weiss is currently present in 30 countries. The westernmost location is in San Francisco, the easternmost in the Taiwanese capital Taipei. At important overseas logistics hubs, the company positions itself as a specialist in logistics solutions in addition to its expertise in the air and sea freight business and operates its own terminals in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo, for example.

The declared aim of Gebrüder is to offer customers worldwide uniform standards and IT solutions in the area of supply chain management. In this way, the company aims to further underpin its position among the quality leaders in the industry.

Lothar Thoma began working for Gebrüder Weiss in the air and sea freight sector on 1 September 2019. Since then, all activities in this area have been successively transferred to him. Born in Baden-Württemberg, Lothar Thoma has been working in the logistics industry for more than 20 years and was most recently responsible for the entire business of an international logistics group as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Prior to this, he held various management positions at other well-known international transport and logistics companies.
