Heinz Senger-Weiss will resign from his duties as a Member of the Management Board on December 31, 2019. “I made this decision after careful consideration and for personal reasons. I want to make one more change in my career,” explains Heinz Senger-Weiss.
The company respects the personal decision of Heinz Senger-Weiss, assures Rudolf Christian Stiehl, Supervisory Board Chairman of Gebrüder Weiss. Heinz Senger-Weiss has successfully contributed to the development of Gebrüder Weiss for 20 years, 15 years of which as a member of the Management Board. After various international functions at GW and partner forwarders, he took over the position of Regional Managing Director Air & Sea in 2003 and became a Member of the Management Board in 2005. Since then he has been responsible for Air & Sea, Sales and Customs.

With effect from September 1, 2019, Lothar Thoma will start working for Gebrüder Weiss in the Air & Sea division. Born in Baden-Württemberg, he has more than 20 years of experience in the logistics industry and has most recently been responsible, as CEO, for the overall business of the international logistics group Militzer & Münch (M & M). Prior to that, he has held various executive positions with international transport and logistics companies, such as Schenker, Dachser and Kühne + Nagel.

Lothar Thoma is married and comes from Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. He has always been closely connected to the Lake Constance region and lives in eastern Switzerland. At Gebrüder Weiss, he will work from the headquarters in Lauterach.

“I wish Heinz all the best and thank him for the many years together in the Management Board. “With Lothar Thoma, an experienced logistics expert joins the company. Thanks to his international management competence, he has all the prerequisites for managing the Air & Sea division at Gebrüder Weiss,” says Wolfram Senger-Weiss.

“GW moves (more) global” – the strategic direction of the company in the Air & Sea area remains with the aim of offering uniform services worldwide under one integrated brand. “We are on course and I am convinced that the Air & Sea team can soon celebrate the success it deserves. Thank you for your support, “says Heinz Senger-Weiss. As a co-owner of Gebrüder Weiss, he will continue to remain close to the company after his resignation.
