Around 2,000 companies with 13,000 trucks and 3,000 small transport vehicles are working day by day in Upper Austria to ensure the supply of everyday goods and to keep the wheels of the industry running. This versatile range of services as well as their contribution to prosperity and quality of life in the country was presented by the freight forwarding trade last weekend at the “Friends on the Road” show on the Linz Promenade.
In addition to comprehensive information about the industry, this time a focus was on the truck driver campaign launched this year by the Upper Austrian transport companies “Come on board – Truck driver, a job like in a movie”, which focuses on the career opportunities in a modern profession at the truck steering wheel and on the new job platform www.lkwlenker.at .
In this sense, the audience was also involved in the program. “Sit in & smile” enabled people interested to get to know the world of truck drivers first-hand from the cockpit of a modern tractor.
