The French retail group Carrefour and P3 (PointPark Properties), a specialist owner, developer and manager of European logistics properties, have singed an agreement about 81.000 m² in the Romanian P3 Bucharest logistics park. The lease agreement includes two existing buildings of 36,000 m² as well as 45,000 m² of Built-to-Suit (BTS) area in new halls. The first hall of 28,000 m² will be handed over in April 2016, the remaining area will follow in construction segments until October 2016. P3 Bucharest is Romania’s biggest logistics park.
This is our biggest logistics contract we concluded in Central and Eastern Europe this year. The fact that a company of the quality and size of Carrefour became our client in a project of this magnitude is a great achievement for P3. Romania grows fast as a market and our ambitions are very high in this country. After buying P3 Bucharest, the largest logistics park in the country, earlier this year, we are very excited to make a new step with our first build-to-suit project,” said Ian Worboys, CEO P3.
The P3 Bucharest logistics park is located on the A1 highway, 13 kilometers west of the city centre of Bucharest and is fully leased.
According to P3, the park allows for further developments over 114,000 m². Also the Henri Coanda airport, 22 km away, and the A2 motorway can be reached easily.
