Fashion logistics provider Meyer & Meyer appoints CEO

Meyer & Meyer, a fashion logistics specialist based in Osnabrück, has appointed Mr. Jan Weber as CEO of Meyer & Meyer Holding GmbH & Co. KG in February 2016. From April 1, 2016 he will thus become the sole operative manager of the corporate group. This is also when the two previous Managing Associates Michael Meyer and Rolf Meyer, and the Managing Director of the Holding Dr. Clemens Haskamp will change to a newly established supervisory board.

With these changes in its management and company structure, Meyer & Meyer initiates the necessary generation change and responds to the growth and progressing internationalisation of the company.

“For our family enterprise we still need strong leadership from a single source. We are convinced that Jan Weber is the right choice here, to lift Meyer & Meyer to the next level and ensure the company is well positioned also in the future,” says Michael Meyer. Jan Weber was most recently COO at a Finnish primary producer.

On a „road show“ at the main branches of the company Jan Weber presented to the staff of Meyer & Meyer and was officially introduced to the company by the associates. He sees an enormous growth potential with Meyer & Meyer, and expertise collected throughout many years of tradition. “I will stand for a positive drive of the enterprise“, he said.

As a leading specialist for fashion logistics in Europe, Meyer & Meyer offers its customers a service portfolio ranging from raw material and production logistics to storage, preparation, quality control and sales-ready distribution of goods for retail. In addition to fashion logistics, the family-owned company has developed more specific logistics solutions for the automotive, consumer electronics and various particularly sensitive goods. From the company’s headquarters in Osnabrück and a network of subsidiaries and partner companies in Germany and abroad 2,000 employees are managing the logistical activities in Europe, Asia and North Africa.
