A new agreement signed with the world’s largest car manufacturer kicks off a new era for the transport and logistics provider

EUR 10 million turnover: Major automotive order for DSV Austria

DSV Stuttgart GmbH in Schwieberdingen has been specialising in automotive business for many years and was now able to win a major order worth EUR 10 million in cooperation with DSV Österreich GmbH in Suben. This opens new opportunities for expanding the transport services within the DSV Group and new perspectives in the automotive industry for DSV Austria.

The large order includes more than 100 suppliers in Austria. Their components are consolidated via the hub in Suben and subsequently delivered to the car factories in Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Belgium. In the same train, the empties will be picked up from the works and returned to the suppliers via the hub in Suben. For small quantities, the team of DSV Schwieberdingen, which has been operating as a regional freight forwarder, will be responsible.

The branch in Suben, which employs about 100 people, is currently being equipped according to the latest safety standards. The processing of the first shipments will start in early December. A specially trained automotive team for dispatching and administrative tasks will then take over the organisation of the logistics chain in close cooperation with the German colleagues.

The DSV team from Schwieberdingen will support their colleagues in Austria during the initial phase. Pick-up partners, employees, drivers and warehouse personnel are being prepared for their new tasks in training sessions.
