DPD Austria launches its depot expansion for EUR 2.4 million in Pöchlarn

DPD Austria expands its depot in Pöchlarn (Lower Austria) for EUR 2.4 million. “In addition to expanding the office space, we will also add 1,000 m² of warehouse area. About 10 additional loading gates and 20 cargo berths enable us to handle 2,500 parcels more per hour in the depot,” reads a press release by Austria’s leading private parcel service.

Founded 30 years ago as the first private parcel service (at that time APS-Austria Paket System), DPD Austria today offers a wide range of services for national and international parcel distribution. In Austria a staff of approximately 1,700 people, with a fleet of 1,000 vehicles, shipped approximately 46,5 million parcels in 2017. The DPD Pickup Parcelshop network now includes more than 1,200 pick-up and drop-off points throughout Austria.
