DNV GL Excellence – 5 Stars-certificate for Hansa Heavy Lift

Hansa Heavy Lift, a heavy lift and project shipping company, has been recognized with a DNV GL Excellence – Five Stars award by the classification company DNV GL, for meeting the high quality and safety standards of its management systems.
Matthias Ritters, Regional Manager Maritime Region Germany at DNV GL, recently presented the certificate in Hamburg to Steve Dawson, Director of Ship Management Hansa Heavy Lift.
The award was given for a reliable shipping operation and the introduction and adherence to above-average safety, environmental and quality standards. Heavy Lift meets the obligatory requirements including ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), BS OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety) and ISM (International Safety Management) / ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) Code, as well as the optional requirements such as appropriate reports of port state control inspections, the use of Emergency Response Service (ERS) for its fleet, an advanced internal training scheme and holding practical exercises for emergency and crisis management.
