With the new member, the company aims to consolidate its position as number 2 on the Austrian parcel market

DHL Paket (Austria) hires Christian Kirchmayer as Head of Commercial

Christian Kirchmayer (50), a proven specialist in the commercial sector, gets on board of the Austrian subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL Group. Born in Vienna, he has many years of experience in leading positions in sales and marketing, in various industries in Germany and abroad, to benefit DHL (Paket) Austria GmbH.

As Head of Commercial, Christian Kirchmayer is responsible for the marketing, PR and product development of DHL Paket (Austria). In addition, he will be responsible for the further expansion of the parcel shop network and DHL Packstations in Austria.

“The highest priority for companies is often to meet the needs and expectations of their customers. However, I believe that we must inspire the business partners with our services and product features, and thus deliver substantial added value,” Christian Kirchmayer gives an outlook.

Christian Kirchmayer held management positions at Head Sport AG and Lauda Air, followed by more than 15 successful years as managing director of leading companies, such as the Soravia Group and Essilor Austria. The sports enthousiast started his career as manager at DHL Express Austria during his studies. In addition to his in-depth professional qualifications, the manager has attended the St. Gallen Business School, Boston Business School and ESSEC Business School in Paris.

DHL Paket (Austria) has been operating on the Austrian market since September 2015 and has focused on the needs of e-commerce customers and parcel receivers. Building a close infrastructure and flexible comprehensive delivery enabled the young company to successfully establish itself on the domestic parcel market.
