DHL Global Forwarding made a move with two cargo charters using Boeing 747-8F jets on 3 September at Linz Airport. The first aircraft arrived shortly before noon, the second flight was expected at 18.30. Both freighters came from Kazan and transported equipment for the Red Bull Air Race, which takes place on 15 and 16 September in Wiener Neustadt.
With the Red Bull Air Race a World Cup returns to Austria, which attracts millions of fans worldwide. At eight spectacular stops around the globe, the racing drivers will choose their champion. The race in Wiener Neustadt is the sixth event of the season. On September 15, the training and the qualifying as well as a race of the Challenger Class will be held. On Sunday (16 September), after another race of the Challenger Class, the highlight will be the race in the Master Class.
