With new facilities in Austria, France and Germany, the company strengthens its European contract logistics business

Dachser is investing into new logistics centers in Europe

With a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony at the end of June 2016, the family enterprise launched the expansion of its logistics center in Hörsching, close to Linz by adding a warehouse of approximately 10,000 m² of warehouse space and 20,000 pallet spaces. In early 2017 the facility shall be put into operation. Dachser is investing around EUR 10 million.

In France, Dachser expanded its warehouse capacity even at two sites. In Salon de Provence in the south of the country they recently opened a 12,000 m² store for the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur with space for 14,500 pallets. In Reims, northern France the existing storage areas were already enlarged. The site with currently 27,000 pallet spaces provides contract logistics solutions especially for the wine and spirits business and industrial customers.

In Überherrn, Saarland the company is investing and expanding its logistics center there by adding a 11,000 m² contract logistics warehouse with 22,000 pallet spaces on the shelf as well as 600 m² of office space. The investment volume at this site amounts to EUR 10 million. Start of operation is scheduled for the end of October 2016. On the medium term 80 new jobs will be created there.
