Dachser extends its food logistics network to Serbia

The European network around Dachser Food Logistics has become even denser. For the first time, regular deliveries are also now possible in Serbia, an important step in the expansion of the European Food Network towards southeastern Europe. Furthermore, a new correspondent provider is taking over distribution in Ireland.

Since the beginning of June, Nelt has been responsible for Serbian deliveries in the European Food Network. The food professionals at Nelt have more than 20 years of experience in the industry and the company is considered one of the largest logistics service providers in the western Balkans. Its seven locations and 300 vehicles ensure uniform, uninterrupted coverage.

With Nelt as a new correspondent provider, the European Food Network is the only transportation network for food that offers regular groupage shipments from Western Europe to Serbia.

At the same time, a new correspondent provider is joining the network in Ireland. From Dublin, the family-owned company Gerish distributes food imports from the European Food Network across all of Ireland. This means thanks to daily departures, customers from Germany, for example, can benefit from guaranteed delivery times starting at 72 hours.

The European Food Network includes 13 partners and 10 correspondent providers and operates regular scheduled shipments between 30 countries, making it the most extensive food transportation network in Europe. Austria and Slovenia are allocated to the service area of Brummer Logistik, based in Neuburg am Inn near Passau. The cooperative network was founded under the leadership of Dachser in 2013.
