Contargo Rail Services opens its first branch in Duisburg

The service provider now also offers its services for rail freight transport via a newly established agency and coordination office in Duisburg. The staff on site will be responsible for classic agency services such as the commercial and dispositive handling of trains for customers as well as coordination of the transports of third parties.

“Agency services are one of the pillars of our company, which we initially provided in the seaports only,” says Andreas Mager, Managing Director of Contargo Rail Services GmbH.”Now we also offer these services in the hinterland. Particularly centrally structured companies can benefit from this service.”

For the time being, a team of three will fill the agency and coordination office of Contargo Rail Services, which is located in the offices of Duisburg’s Intermodal Terminal. The staff will work closely with customers and their service providers, such as railway companies.

“We chose Duisburg as the location for a first branch because the largest inland port in the world is also an important hub for rail transport. Here our services are interesting for companies from all over the world,” says Michael Lückenbach, Managing Director of Contargo Rail Services GmbH. “We have already started cooperating with our first customers.”
