From 1 January 2017, Dr. Clemens Först (40) will assume the position of the Spokesman of the Board of the Rail Cargo Group. He will head the company together with the managers Erik Regter and Ferdinand Schmidt. This was decided by the Supervisory Board on Monday.
Lately, Clemens Först was head of the production management board of DB Cargo, a company of Deutsche Bahn. Previous to that, he had been active within the ÖBB Group from 2011 to 2012.
The Rail Cargo Group, the cargo division of ÖBB has EUR 2.1 billion in sales annually and 8,260 employees, and is one of the leading rail logistics companies in Europe. From their base in the domestic markets Austria and Hungary, the company offers customised rail logistics solutions between the North Sea, Black Sea and Mediterranean Sea; this based on companies in 18 Central and Eastern European countries and an extensive international network of partners.
