As of June 1, 2018, Wolfgang Herzer is the new owner of the Franz Haider Gesellschaft mbH, which is located in the 22nd district of Vienna. Company founder Franz Haider (56) decided in the 27th year of existence of the company to sell it, as descendants are missing and he wants to devote himself in future to the “beautiful things in life,” as he says himself. Traveling and sports will be his first priority – his center of life will be – at least biannually – Florida, reports the trade magazine “Strassengüterverkehr”.
For Wolfgang Herzer, the Haider business unit is an ideal complement to the existing range. The 35 Haider trucks are equipped with large cranes (including three 150 mto cranes) – building on a broad customer base. The company is managed separately from Herzer and still under the name Haider, only the lettering is adapted to the Herzer design. Operations manager is going to be son Martin Herzer (23).
The Herzer company, with its headquarters in Groß Enzersdorf, specializes in the production and transport of sand, gravel and building materials. The company, founded in 1881, has 35 construction machines and 100 trucks. The backbone of the company are the 200 employees, who are kept up-to-date with ongoing training and certification.
