Following the approval of the relevant antitrust authorities and the subsequent closing, the integration of the Jöbstl Group into the Kuehne + Nagel organisation last week was completed. This means that all the prerequisites have been met for actively shaping and further expanding the path of the Styrian transport and logistics group, which has already been successful in the past, together with the new owner.
At the same time a new management was appointed with the change of ownership of the operating companies of the Jöbstl Group. In this context, the Jöbstl family thanked the two current managing directors Kurt Jürgen and Christoph Jöbstl in a press release “very much for their loyalty and their trusting cooperation over many years. Together, a lot could be moved”.
The strong presence of Kuehne + Nagel opens up new opportunities in important and fast-growing markets. Thanks to the synergy of the two groups, the Jöbstl Group will not only be able to offer an expanded range of land-based transport services in Europe, but also access a globally anchored logistics network.
The Jöbstl Group goes back to a family business with a 95-year company history. The group handles around 550,000 shipments a year with international groupage, FTL and LTL transports and has a handling area of just under 20,000m² and 180,000 employees at locations in Austria (Wundschuh, Wallern, Vienna, Fürnitz) and Slovenia (Ljubljana, Maribor).
