Ceva Logistics has been awarded a multi-year contract to provide regional logistics services to Ideal Standard, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of private and public bathroom solutions. Within the framework of the new collaboration, Ceva will operate a 17,375 m² regional distribution centre located in Bielany Wroclawskie in south western Poland which can handle up to 150,000 pallets per annum.
From there, the logistics company will manage all warehouse and transport processes for the manufacturer in Central and Northern Europe, including supplying the Distribution Centre from European factories and coordinating deliveries to final customers in Poland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Slovakia, Luxembourg, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
The new contract is one of the most innovative projects Ceva has ever undertaken in Central and Northern Europe and has been implemented using its Zero Defect Start-Up methodology. The highest safety standards have also been implemented on site, which means zero accidents at work, as well as a program to engage employees in the conscious creation of a safe working environment.
Says Guillaume Sauzedde, CEVA’s Managing Director Central & Eastern Europe: “The Zero Defect Start-Up methodology ensured that a team of experts was set up in specific areas to oversee the customer’s precise needs and requirements. The aim of using ZDS was to flawlessly implement the project, maintain budgetary discipline and guarantee the highest quality of service after the implementation phase.”
