Mirko Pahl, CEO of TX Logistik AG, will leave the railway logistics company effective 31st July 2019 for personal reasons. The graduate in business administration and a certified railway expert, joined the company in March 2017, where he initiated gradual development in a difficult economic environment.

In addition to organisational and personnel redesign, Mirko Pahl focused on acquiring own modern multi-system locomotives, regaining licenses in Sweden and Denmark and the resumption of traffic in the Swiss corridor.

With the aim of setting up TX Logistik for the future, investments were also made into automation and digitisation. The structural development of the transport portfolio he initiated will continue to be implemented.

TX Logistik was founded in 1999 as a private rail transport company and offers a powerful European network with connections between 11 countries. The company has subsidiaries in Switzerland, Austria, Denmark and Sweden as well as local offices in Italy and the Netherlands. In the Intermodal and Rail Freight business units, TX Logistik develops comprehensive rail solutions for continental and maritime transport as well as tailor-made concepts for conventional freight.

With around 580 employees, the company generated annual sales of EUR 250 million in 2018. Since January 2017, the rail logistics specialist has been wholly owned by Mercitalia Logistics S.p.A., a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane.
