The international logistics provider cargo-partner will begin the construction of a modern iLogistics Center near Ljubljana Airport this year. The project is part of a strategic investment to expand the global warehouse capacity of the group.

The new iLogistics Center will contain over 20,000 pallet slots on more than 25,000 m² of storage space and will also include a 6,000 m² small parts and value added services area, 5,000 m² of cross dock and block storage space and 4,000 m² of office space.

Located directly next to Ljubljana Airport, approximately 20 minutes from the city center, it will offer a direct connection to the motorway (A2). With 44 truck docks, the facility is well equipped for daily pick-up and distribution from and to the surrounding area.

Viktor Kastelic, Managing Director cargo-partner in Slovenia, says „The construction of the new iLogistics Centers reflects our commitment and the rising order volume on the Slovenian market. It will also help us create 30 additional jobs, apart from the 100 existing jobs.“ Kastelic hopes the team will be joined by new talents and skills.

One of cargo-partner’s recent logistics investments is the iLogistics Center in wood construction with a total surface of 12,200 m² at the company headquarters in Fischamend, and the iLogistics Center with 16.500 m² warehouse space in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia. Both facilities started operating in spring 2018.

The company cargo-partner is a privately owned full-range info-logistics provider offering a comprehensive portfolio of air, sea, land transport and warehousing services. Founded in 1983, the company with 2,780 employees generated sales of EUR 700 million in 2017.
