The cargo-partner group is expanding its headquarters near the Vienna airport by adding a sustainable logistics centre with 25,000 pallet spaces. To meet the rising transport volumes at its Austrian headquarters, the international transport and logistics provider is expanding its facilities in Fischamend by building an energy-efficient, wood-based logistics center. Completion is planned for summer 2017.
The use of wood as a main building material allows for temperature control between 15° C and 25° C, constant humidity of 70%, low operating costs and considerable reduction of CO2 emissions. However, sustainable architecture begins with the choice of materials: This construction will be made entirely of components that were produced with low carbon emissions.
