The cargo-partner office at the Linz Hörsching airport was opened on 3rd August 1999. Initially, three employees took care of local orders; today around 50 employees are working at the location in Linz. Now 20 years later, two of these initial three employees are still working there.
“We are definitely interested in long-term relationships and are strongly investing into the development of our employees. The training of junior logistics specialists is particularly important to us,” says Martin Schenzel, Managing Director of cargo-partner in Austria. cargo-partner trains apprentices throughout Austria and also offers an apprenticeship with Matura.
In addition to its activities as a dispatcher, the Austrian Leitbetrieb (“leading company”) cargo-partner offers a wide range of job profiles in various departments such as law, finance, accounting, marketing, human resources and IT. With more than 130 locations in 40 countries worldwide, the logistics company also offers numerous international career opportunities.
Martin Schenzel, explains: “Our strategic focus has always been on air and sea freight, both in export and import. Quality and customer service have been our top priorities right from the start”. Another focus is on rail transport. The logistics provider operates weekly rail transport services for full and part loads on the New Silk Road.
Because of increased demand for office and storage space, in 2012 the Linz airport decided to construct cargo terminal N°5. Since its completion in September 2013, cargo-partner has had 1,300 m² of storage space at the airport in its self-managed high-bay warehouse.
