Broekman Logistics expands warehousing capacity in Rotterdam

New and modern building at the Maasvlakte gives Broekman Logistics a strong position in the field of ADR storage

Broekman Logistics expands warehousing capacity in Rotterdam

Broekman Logistics has signed a long-term contract with Dudok Real Estate. The company expands its warehousing capacity with 34,000 m² at the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam, which amounts to a total of more than 250,000 m².

Besides renting 22,000 m² of warehouse capacity, Dudok Real Estate realizes a new built-to-suit warehouse of 12,500 m² for Broekman Logistics. The facility will be equipped with an LP-CO2 extinguishing system and is suitable for the storage of dangerous goods.

The main reason for Broekman Logistics’ expansion of the warehouse capacity is the growing number of customers that are looking for a warehousing solution in the Rotterdam port area. With the expansion at the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam, its total warehousing capacity in the Netherlands will be more than 400.000 pallets. A third of this is designed for the storage of hazardous goods (ADR). With this expansion Broekman Logistics is the market leader in the field of ADR storage.

“We noticed that our current customers are asking us more and more to provide value-added logistics, partly because of this our customer base is constantly growing,” says Jacques Kleinkramer, Managing Director Warehousing & Distribution of Broekman Logistics. “The combination of our global sales efforts and synergies between the various divisions enables us to expand our customer base with new customers.”

Established at the Port of Rotterdam over 55 years ago, Broekman Logistics has since grown to become a full-service logistics services provider employing about 800 people and with sites in the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Poland, India, China and Singapore. Broekman specialises in forwarding and shipping, warehousing and distribution and breakbulk terminals.
